Studies on the Quality Standard of Huangzhi Capsules

Abstract

Objective To establish a method for the quality control of Huangzhi Capsules.Methods Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,Semen Cannabis,Fructus Aurantii immaturus and Radix Paeoniae Alba were identified by thin layer chromatography(TLC),and the content of emodin was determined by TLC.Results The content of emodin showed a good linear relationship with the peak area within the range of 0.040 to 0.200 μg(r=0.999 17).The average recovery was 98.29%,and RSD was 0.47%.Conclusion The TLC for identification was simple and special,it can accurately determine the content of emodin in Huangzhi Capsules.
