City Scale Space Differentiation Research of Hubei Province in 2010

Urban land scale is one of the important symbol of urbanization. County city has a significant function of big cities and vast rural cohesion. Research the spatial and differential laws of the land use scale is of great importance to understanding urban geography process. With arcgis10. 0 platform support,the extraction of 2010 counties of Hubei Province city area of the county and the county a total area of the data,combined with various information such as the social economy,using GIS manual classification method on the spatial differentiation characteristics and regularity of each county city in Hubei Province were studied. Research shows that: the county,Hubei Province urbanization space differentiation of urban land and the coordinated economic development level of spatial differentiation. The area of land urbanization development there is a big imbalance,taking Wuhan as the center,in the plains and important town along the railway area along the river and the county area are larger than,on the edge of the economic zone of western HUBEI and remote mountain town area and the county area proportion are small,but EZHONG accounts for most of the counties and cities than is bigger,north Ordos and area counties and cities of the center position,the research reveals the counties of Hubei Province,the spatial differentiation characteristics of urbanization.
