Quotation ofNotes on Poems of the Song Dynasty in Shi Lin Guang Ji(《诗林广记》)

Shi Lin Guang Ji compiled by Cai Zhengsun frequently quoted notes on poems of the Song Dynasty.Four different quotation methods were adopted: it is said in notes on poems,somebody thus in notes on poems,somebody says and direct quotation without acknowledging the source.The compiler expresses his tripartite attitudes towards those notes,namely,pure notes,comments on poetry and knowledge which can be shared.The prosperity of notes and combination of notes with comment provides the precondition;meanwhile,stylistic innovations of Shi Lin Guang Ji and the compiler's attitudes toward poems of the Song Dynasty and notes on them provide necessary conditions and proper guarantee.
