Clinical Study on Acupuncture Combining with Fuyao Treating Facial Paralysis

Abstract

Objective: To assess the efficacy of acupuncture combining with Fuyao in the treatment of facial paralysis.Methods: Sixty cases of facial paralysis were randomly divided into two groups,each group had thirty cases. One group adopted acupuncture combining with Fuyao; the other adopted acupuncture. The efficacy was observed after forty days. Results: ITT showed that the effective rate was 96. 67% /100. 00%( P 0. 05). PP showed that the effective rate was86. 67% /88. 89%( P 0. 05). The former result corresponded with the latter one. Conclusions: The efficacy of acupuncture combining with Fuyao is better than acupuncture.
