Abstract

Based on a careful study of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, the author presents his own view on the controversial TCM term weijiashi and believes that it refers to the excess syndrome of the stomach and intestine due to dry stool. The author also puts forward his view on the chapter of Yangming diseases and points out that the Yangming fu-organ excess syndrome represents the essence of Yangming diseases. The White Tiger Decoction belongs to Yangming diseases, not weijiaoshi. The rest of the syndromes are complications or deteriorated cases.
