Abstract
By domesticating, separating and cultivating from initial Candida shehatae,an excellent strain TZ-8 was attained. The effects of the xylose mass concentration, the temperature, the rotating speed and the initial substrate pH value on the fermentation were studied. The results indicated that the optimum conditions were that the xylose mass concentration and the temperature should be 40 g/L and 30 ℃,the rotating speed and the initial substrate pH value should be kept between 90 and 110r/min and 4.5~5.0 respectively.Under the optimum condition, the ethanol yield was 11.02 g/L and the rate of utilizing xylose arrived at 86.9%.
