The effect of rehabilitation nursing on neurological,cognitive function and life quality of convalescent stroke patients

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of rehabilitation nursing on neurological,cognitive function and life quality of convalescent stroke patients.Methods Seventy convalescent stroke patients were randomly divided into rehabilitation nursing group and conventional nursing group.Conventional symptomatic treatment such as controlling in tracranial pressure,blood pressure,blood sugar,protecting and nourishing brain cells and so on were taken in both groups of patients.Conventional nursing group were given routine nursing care on this basis for 8 weeks.Rehabilita tion nursing group were given rehabilitative nursing on this basis for 8 weeks.Results After 8 weeks of treatment,the total clinical effective rate of recovery of neurological functions in rehabilitation nursing group was significantly higher than that in the conventional nursing group(χ2=8.10,P 0.01);the total clinical improvement rate of cognitive function in rehabilitation nursing group was significantly higher than that of conventional nursing group(χ2= 6.29,P 0.05);The scores of quality life in both groups were significantly increased(P 0.05 or P 0.01),and the rise of rehabilitation nursing group was significantly higher than that of conventional nursing group(P 0.05).Conclusion Rehabilitation nursing intervention can significantly improve neurological,cognitive function of convalescent stroke patients,promote the recovery of neurological function,delay the decline in cognitive function of patients,and improve the quality of life and prognosis of patients.
