Abstract
In consideration of the problems of starting pressure,effective driving pressure difference being hard to be established between oil and water wells in low permeability oilfields,it was proposed that advance water injection was used.Numerical simulation was conducted in Block 119 of Xinli Oilfield,the period of advance water injection was 5 months in the block,pressure holding level was 137%.The pressure distributive characteristics of the injection and stimulation mechanism were analyzed.The result can be used to effectively guide the development in Block 119 and provide technical basis for advance water injection in other low permeability oilfields.
