Abstract

In accordance with the features of low permeability, low abundance, fast declining, difficult to stabilize production, and low recovery factor, advanced water injection has been conducted This technology involves pattern optimization, overall reservoir stimulation, reservoir monitoring, dynamic follow-up assessment, and injection plan adjustment to ensure oil well productivity and injection-production harmony. 18 months' production practice in the pilot block of Xinli oilfield shows that, comparing with adjacent reservoirs with similar characteristics, the average single well productivity of advanced injection block is 2.3 times of delayed injection block for the same development period. The success of advanced injection development test may guide the development of similar oilfields or blocks.
