Connecting China's Modernization to the World's Modernization——One of Deng Xiaoping's Historical Contributions to the New Period of Reform and Opening-up

The Third Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC initiated the new period of China's reform and opening-up and socialist modernization construction. Based on the situation of the country and the general trend of the world's modernization, the second-generation central leading group, with Deng Xiaoping at its core, pushed the connection of China's modernization to the world's modernization. It is embodied in the following strategies: going abroad to understand the world; actively developing international economic and technical cooperation and exchange; carrying through the multi-level all-around opening-up strategy; promoting the exchange of foreign cultural education; and making the legal system in line with international criteria step by step.
