Abstract

Claude Levi-Strauss was a famous French anthropologist,regarded as the founder of Structural anthropology.Levi-Strauss took many of his ideas from structural linguistics,and applied the Saussure's linguistic research method to the mythology research.This paper is based on Anthropologie Structurale written by Claude Levi-Strauss,to make a brief analysis of the structure of myth,mythology pattern and binary opposition,and point out the shortages and limitations of the structuralism mythology study.
