A Comparison Between the "Changsha Dialect" of Xinsheng Township in Da County of Sichuan Province and Xiang Dialect

Abstract
A phonetic and vocabulary comparison between the dialectof Xinsheng Township in Da County and the dialect of present Changsha and Yiyang and Shuangfeng dialect and Xinhua dialect shows that they are fairly similar and interlinked.Whether analysed from its origin or present situation,theChangsha dialectof Xinsheng belongs to Xiang dialect but not the south-west official language.
