Abstract
Objective: It aims to study the alterated expression of p16、Bcl 2、C erbB 2 and infections of HPV in human salivary gland tumors related to the biopathology and clinical sigificance. It will provid scientific basis for effective prevention and cure of salivary gland malignant tumors. Methods: Expression of p16、Bcl 2、C erbB 2 and infections of HPV in salivary gland malignant tumors(37),Pleomorphic adenomas(31) and non-tumor tissues (20) were detected by immunohistochemistry (LSAB) and PCR ,The results were analysed by Image Analysis System. Results: The positive frequency of p16、Bcl 2 and C erbB 2 in pleomorphic adenomas were much lower than in salivary gland malignant tumor. However, only C erbB 2 expression was showed a statistic significance (P0.05). No association of the expression of p16、Bcl 2 and C erbB 2 among them either in malignant was found (P0.05). The results showed that in pleomorphic adenomas, the positive rates of HPV were 9.7%. It was lower than malignant tumor. (The positive rates of HPV were 27.0% in salivary gland malignant tumor),but non tumor tissues was negative. It was showed a statistic significance (P0.05). Conclusion: (1)Immunohistochemical examination of tumour suppressor gene p16、apoptosis suppressor gone Bcl 2、oncogene C erbB 2, could be used for moecular evaluation of benign and malignant tumors. The detection of which may offer some molecular index for the early diagnosis, clinical therapy of salivary malignant and benign tumors. (2) C erbB 2 overexpression may involve a malignant transformation of benign lesions. (3) The results suggest that HPV 16、18 infections were relative to salivary gland tumor.
