Abstract
Four universities in Kunming gained ‘National Green Model Unit' were selected as study object in order to learn community flora composition, distribution and use of native plant species on campus by using typical sampling method. The results showed that studied campus were rich in plant species. There are 281 species of vascular plants, belonging to 97 families, 172 genera, which can represent the composition of the zonal vegetation characteristics. Plant geographical elements have the nature of the transition from temperate, subtropical to tropical zone. Through the study, we found it was urgent to accelerate the use of native plants.
