Abstract

In order to observe the disinfection-related properties of the compound trichloroisocyanuric acid powder, carrier quantitative germicidal test was used to carry out experimental study in laboratory. Results: The killing rates of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus on carriers exposed to the disinfectant powder solution containing available chlorine 50 mg/L for 5 min,Candida albicans on carrier exposed to the disinfectant solution containing available chlorine 600 mg/L for 3 min and spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger on carrier exposed to the disinfectant powder solution containing available chlorine 800 mg/L for 5 min were over 99.90%.The minimal eligible concentration of the trichloroisocyanuric acid powder solution for killing E.coli in capacity test was available chlorine 45 mg/L.The disinfectant powder was obviously influenced by organic substance. Conclusion: The compound trichloroisocyanuric acid powder has relatively high efficacy in killing vegetative forms of bacteria, fungi and bacterial spores, but it is obviously influenced by the organic substance.
