Abstract
Wang Fuzhi understood Western science through a variety of ways.He had a deeper understanding of the Western astronomy,calendar,scientific instruments.He used the theory of ancient China to comment on Western science,and criticized or opposed them from time to time.He also absorbed the Western scientific method of empirical research.Wang Fuzhi's understanding of Western scientific knowledge and his attitude of it had a important historical position.He was the typical scholar of absorption Western science critically,a representative scholar of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the early advocate of Western science originated from traditional Chinese.He was a link in the course of East-West cultural exchange.
