Abstract

A novel micro-electrolytic iron carbon material was used to treat methylene orange simulated wastewater, the factors affecting the treatment effect were discussed. The results showed that when the Aeration quantity was 0.4 L/min,the reaction time was 2 h,the influent pH value was 4,the material dosage was 0.15 kg/L,the removal rates of CODCr and colority in the simulated wastewater reached above 85% and 98% respectively. The comparison results of traditional iron-carbon process with the said novel process showed that, using the latter one to treat printing and dyeing wastewater could get a better effect, which was represented by the following aspects:the removal rates of CODCr and colority were 29% and 23% higher respectively, and repeated utilization of new materials is higher.
