Abstract
Objective To study the application value of medical biological proteogel in the operation of breast cancer. Methods Two hundred and twenty cases of breast cancer were divided into 2 groups:the experimental group (biological proteogel was applied in the operative wound during modified mastectomy for 108 cases of breast cancer) and the control group (biological proteogel was not applied in the modified mastectomy for 112 cases of breast cancer). The clinical effect of biological proteogel was appraised through observation of the axillary and wound drainage in the first day after operation, the total postoperative drainage, subcutaneous hydrops and skin flap necrosis. Results The drainage of the experimental group (84.10±40.03)ml in the first day after operation was obviously lower than that of the control group (132.03±130.03)ml ( t =3.62, P 0.01);The total postoperative drainage in experimental group (203.27±80.09)ml was significantly lower than that in the control group(298.27±234.44)ml ( t =2.10, P 0.05);The occurrence rate of subcutaneous hydrops in the experimental group(11%) was obviously lower than that of the control group (22%) (χ 2=4.94, P 0.05).Conclusion The application of biological proteogel in the modified mastectomy for breast cancer can reduce effectively the wound drainage, subcutaneous hydrops and skin flap necrosis, and is helpful for the wound healing.
