Knowledge Management in Alliance:the Role of Control Mechanism

Abstract

Knowledge plays an important role on firm's competitive advantage,and more and more firms have built alliance to acquire knowledge.However,not all the firms can successfully manage knowledge in alliance.Thus,knowledge management in alliance becomes an important research question.Control mechanism has a significant impact on knowledge management in alliance.In this study,we divided the knowledge management in alliance into knowledge acquisition and knowledge utilization,and then investigated the roles of control mechanism during these two processes.
