A Study on the Relationship between the Blood Magnesium, Blood Lipids Level and Cerebrovascular Disease

To study the relationship between the blood magnesium, blood lipids level and cerebrovascular disease,the levels of the blood magnesium(Mg), total cholesterin(TC), triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were determined in 83 cerebral infarction patients, 79 cerebral hemorrhage patients, and compared with 32 non-cerebral vessel disease.The results showed that comparing with non-cerebral vessel disease, in the other two groups the levels of the blood magnesium decreased remarkably(especially the cerebral infarction patients), HDL-C also decreased remarkably, the levels of TG raised remarkably(especially the cerebral hemorrhage patients).It concludes the decreasing in the levels of the blood magnesium and HDL-C, or the raising in the level of TG may be the risk factors leading to happening of cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage.
