The Eco-city Planning of old Districts in Lanzhou

Eco-city is one of the most advanced city development models in the world. Based on the study of the old districts of Lanzhou, this paper brings forth the guiding ideology, general idea and morphology of eco-city planning of Lanzhou. The authors believe that although the nature conditions, national policies, and many other conditions put great influence on the city planning of Lanzhou, the sustainable development goal of Lanzhou can be realized by optimizing many factors such as population, industries, transportation, spatial structure and so on
