Effect of Doxycycline hydrochloride with Azithromycin on Ureaplasma urealyticum in Female Genital Tract Infection

Objective To explore the effect of doxycycline hydrochloride with azithromycin on ureaplasma urealyticum in female genital tract infection.Methods All 314 women with UU aged 19 to 47 years(mean 38 years) from January 2010 to January in our hospital were divided into two groups in accordance with the therapeutic methods.The control group(159 cases) received azithromycin,while the experimental group(155 cases) received doxycycline hydrochloride and azithromycin.The change of UU positive rate,disappear of symptoms and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results UU clearance rate was 90.96% in the treatment group,and was higher than 61.63% in the control group(P0.05).The rate of vulva discomfort decreased obviously in the experimental group as compared to the control group(P0.05).The difference in the rate of adverse effects was not significant(P0.05).Conclusion The treatment with doxycycline hydrochloride and azithromycin can quickly remove UU infection,relieve the clinical symptoms,and the side effect is also slight.
