Abstract

A new system of HONH 2·HCl Et 3N acetic acid is introduced to synthesize erythromycin 9 oxime from erythromycin. Methods of TLC and HPLC are used to determine the product of reaction. The influece of quantity of acetic acid on the reaction is studied emphatically. Under the optimal conditions 97% yield of erythromycin 9 oxime is obtained with 87.9% purity.
