From Confucianism to Metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties: From the Perspective of Natural Law and Humanitarian View

Abstract

In addition to the systematic world outlook and natural law, the unique humanitarian view is also a key feature of Confucianism in Han Dynasty. What is interesting is that these features have either direct or indirect link with metaphysics. Based on the difference and similarities between Confucianism and metaphysics in terms of natural law and humanitarian view, this paper is to explore the relations between the two disciplines so as to understand how the learning in Han Dynasty has evolved into the one in Wei and Jin dynasties.
