On the Theoretical Value and Historical Role of the Image-numberology in the Han Dynasty

The image-numberology in the Han dynasty has its own typical epochal character and pattern concerning theoretical form,thinking way and thinking feature.As the part of the core of the Confucian classics learning,image-numberology has a far-reaching influence on philosophy,society and politics in the Han dynasty.However,for a long time,we haven't attached much attention on the image-numberology of the Han dynasty.In this paper,we try to deep analyze and reveal the theoretical value and historical role of the Han image-numberology on the basis of the image-number system in the Zhouyi,particularly single out its ultimate value pursuit of harmony.
