Abstract
Four warm seasonal turfgrasses physiology indices (Pro, MDA, RPP, SOD etc.) in relations to their drought resistance were studied under sustaining drought stress. The results indicate that: (1) Drought resistance: Tifton328Manila grassCentipete grassDichondra micanthus; (2)The time and the peak whichPro reaches the highest point have close relation to turfgrasses drought resistance; (3) MDA and RPP go up slowly in the early period (related to drought resistance),then increase quickly while the stress reaches to a certain degree; (4)The amount of RPP can evaluate turfgrasses drought resistance directly; (5)The vigor of SOD is improvedwhile treated withproper repeated drought stress. The turfgrasses having a stronger drought resistance can keep the highervigor of SOD.
