A clinical study of One-appointment root canal therapy for Infected anterior teeth

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of one-appointment root canal therapy for infected anterior teeth. Methods: 121 anterior teeth with dental pulp disease or perpendicular were treated by one-appointment therapy or traditional root canal therapy. After having carried on tracking the patients for one or two years, we evaluate the efficacy according to subjective symptoms, clinical inspection and results of X-rays. Results: There was no statistical significance in success rate between the one-appointment therapy and the traditional therapy after operation.Conclusion: After suitable cases are selected, adequate preparations before operation are made, bacteria-free operations are strictly performed, and the infectious substance is thoroughly cleaned, the treatment of one-appointment root canal therapy for infected anterior teeth has proved effective and feasible.
