Abstract

Objective:To explore if one time root canal therapy has a better effectiveness than conventional root canal therapy in treating anterior teeth pulpitis. Methods:One hundred and twenty cases with pulpitis of anteror teeth were randomly divided into 2 groups with 60 cases in each group, treated by one time root canal therapy and conventional root canal therapy, separately. We observed pain and turgescence of the patients after one week's treatment, and to compare clinical symptoms and X ray examination two years after treatment. Results:The incidence of complication of one time root canal therapy was more than that of one conventional root canal therapy( P 0.05), but the curative effects from both methods have no significant difference( P 0.05).Conclusion:The conventional root canal therapy should adopted in anterior teeth pulpitis treatment, while one time root canal therapy must be carefully employed for the case treatment.
