Abstract

Objective: To investigate the anti fatigue effect of Rosa roxbughii Tratt extract on mice. Methods: 100 Kunming origin mice were randomly divided into 4 groups( 25 each) as empty group, high dose group, medium dose group and low dose group. Empty group were given saline, high, medium and low dose groups were given 1 g /( kg·d) 、2 g /( kg·d) and 3 g /( kg·d) of Rosa roxbughii Tratt extract. After 25 days of extract feeding, the mice swimming endurance and low pressure hypoxia experiment were carried out to test the load swimming time and mortality under low pressure oxygen-resistant,and serum urea nitrogen, blood lactic acid in mice after exercise and liver glycogen were detected. Results: By feeding different dosages of extract after 25 days,it significantly extended the load swimming time, swimming time of high dose and medium dose group was significantly longer than empty group, differences were statistically different( P 0. 05); mortality of high dose group was lower than empty group, differences were statistically different( P 0. 05). The extract could significantly reduce the death rate of low pressure oxygen tolerance in mice, reduce the serum urea nitrogen level during sports, obvious inhibitory effect were tested for elevated blood lactic acid in mice after exercise,it could increase the mice liver glycogen reserve. Conclusions: Rosa roxbughii Tratt extract has antifatigue effect on mice.
