Abstract
According to the relationship between strain retention value of HTPB propellant and storage time, the effects of the constant, decomposition fraction, low temperature decomposition reaction rate constant of AP and the oxidation reaction rate constant of HTPB on the storage life of propellants were investigated. The results indicate that the effect of AP content on the storage life is not so obvious. Methods that can decrease the low temperature decomposition fraction and decomposition reaction rate constant of AP and the oxidation reaction rate constant of HTPB can increase the storage life of HTPB propellants.
