Abstract

Thermal decomposition properties of hydrogen storage alloy/AP/HTPB propellants are studied by TGDTG,DSC and kinetics analysis methods. The results show that compared to Al/AP/HTPB propellant, the thermal decomposition temperature of hydrogen storage alloy/AP/HTPB propellant is low,and its heat release is high;the condensed phase reaction degree of A20/AP/HTPB propellant is increased by 2.44%,whereas the thermal decomposition activation energy(Kissinger method)of its second and third temperature zone is decreased by 4.06% and 22.63%,respectively;the condensed phase reaction degree of A30/AP/HTPB propellant is increased by 10.61%,whereas the thermal decomposition activation energy(Kissinger method)of its second and third temperature zone is decreased by 30.89%and 38.87%,respectively.It was found that there is a catalytic effect of hydrogen storage alloy on the thermal decomposition of AP/HTPB propellant, and the catalytic effect inereased with an increase in the content of(Mg0.45Ni0.05B0.5Hx).
