An Empirical Study of Jiangsu Regional Economic Development Level

Abstract

The development of regional economy is the key to the overall progress in Jiangsu province. This paper, by means of factor analysis, chooses 12 indices as the original data for measuring the economic development level of 13 municipal regions in Jiangsu province, depicts their individual economy in numbers, identifies the differences among these regions’ economic development and the causes, and points out the way to the coordinative development.
