Differences in Regional Economic Development and Solutions for Coordination—A Study Taking Jiangsu province as An Example

The difference of regional economic development is an objective economic phenomenon,which restricts the coordinated development of a region to some degree.This article,taking Jiangsu province as an example,and based on the two kinds of regional divisions—the three wide regions of the northern Jiangsu,the central Jiangsu,the southern Jiangsu and the 13 municipal administrative areas respectively,uses the statistical analytic indexes to analyze and reveal the extremely uncoordinated regional economic development in Jiangsu.The paper then makes an analysis on the reasons for these differences and their impact and concludes that promoting a coordinated regional development is urgent for the time being.Related countermeasures are also proposed in the paper.
