Clinical Effect of Valacidovir Combined with Analgecine in the Treatment of Postherpetic Neuralgia

Objective To investigate the effect and safety of valacidovir combined with analgecine in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.Methods 80 cases of postherpetic neuralgia from NO.303 Hospital of People′s Liberation Army were randomly divided into valacidovir combined with analgecine group(A) and valacidovir group(B),40 cases in each group.The patients in two groups were both treated with valaciclovir 0.3 g each time,2 times a day.Analgecine were additionally used in analgecine group with the dosage of 7.2 U/d for 5 days.The pain reliefg time,pain disappearance time and the rate of postherpetic neuralgia of the two groups were observed.Results Group A pain relief time was(6.8±4.2) d and pain disappearance time was(16.5±5.4) d,obviously lower than that of group B(12.2±5.8) d and(26.1±8.1) d(P0.05).Group A(7.5%) was obvious lower than group B(30%) in the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia(P0.05).Conclusion Valacidovir combined with analgecine in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia can shorten pain relief tim and incidence of postherpetic neuralgia.
