Zhang Jian's woman education thought is an overstep to the concept of The woman without talents is just virtuous,and his education thought in earlier period is different from the one in later period. ZHANG Jian originates his woman education thought from both Chinese traditional culture,especially Confucianism,and the Western culture. ZHANG's woman education thought incorporates and integrates both the cultures,which grants itself an old but new,traditional but modern quality. Women schools established by ZHANG make a foundation of woman education system in modern China and his unique woman education thought holds an important status in the history of woman education in China.
