Abstract

Zhang Jian lived in a period of sharp changes of society in China.His personal experience and thoughts stood for the changes of the whole society and thoughts and ideas of that era in some aspects.Generally speaking,people understood him from aspects of political and industrial fields.This paper has investigated Zhang Jian's understandings to Chinese female education by his words and actions in setting up Tong Zhou Female Normal School so as to make us know more about Zhang Jian's contribution to the female education in China.
