Abstract

Objective:To investigate the success rate and safety of percutaneous renal biopsy by ultrasound in children with kidney disease, and to study the value of renal pathological examination in clinical diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases in children.Methods:Children(20 cases)with renal disease underwent percutaneous nephrostomy renal biopsy by ultrasound.Specimens were tested for classification of pathology by light microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy. The occurrence of postoperative complications was observed. Results:Biopsies were successfully performed in the study without any complication. Conclusion:The percutaneous renal biopsy by ultrasound is convenience, safe, reliable, high success rate and less complication and has important value in diagnosis, treatment and assessment of prognosis of children with glomerular renal disease. It should be spread by primary hospitals.
