Effect of tinidazole and spironolactone cream on acne vulgaris

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical effect of tinidazole and spironolactone cream in the treatment of acne vulgaris. METHODS One-hundred patients with acne vulgaris were divided into treatment group and control group randomly.Sixty-two patients were treated with tinidazole and spironolactone cream in the treatment group,and thirty-eight patients were treated with tazarotene cream in the control group.The clinical effects were observed after four weeks. RESULTS In the treatment group,the total effective rate was 91.94%,and significantly improved rate was 85.48%.In the control group was 81.59% and 57.89%,respectively.There was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P0.05). CONCLUSION The results suggested that the tinidazole and spironolactone cream was safe and effective for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
