The Variation of Circumference Values of Uzbek Adults

A major effort has been directed at investigating 201 adults of Uzbek on 9 indexes(horizontal head circumference,chest circumference,abdominal perimeter,hipline,girth of the upper arm,girth of fore-arm,maximum biceps circumference,girth of thigh,girth of calf).The data has been divided into different age groups and the changing has been studied.The comparison of these circumference between male and female and that of other Chinese nationalities has been done.The results show as follows:(1) The values of trunk circumference of both males and females increase with age greatly.(2) The values of limbs circumference firstly go up and reach its maximum at 40-age group,and then go down.(3) The maximum horizontal head circumference of male appears at 40-age group,so does 50-age group of female.(4) The variational range of trunk circumferences is more larger than that of the limb.The horizontal head circumference of Uzbek changes little with age.(5) Males' indexes are larger than female',except for girth of thigh.The abdominal circumference of female go beyond male's over 50 years old.(6) The absolute value and relative value of female are larger except for girth of calf,which shows that the differences between sexs become smaller with age.(7) According to the results of cluster analysis and principal components,these indexes of Uzbek are closest to Kirgiz and comparing all our the 16 populations Uzbek enjoies a high value of circumference.
