Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of qi-regulation and blood-activation method in treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).Methods Sixty cases were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 30 cases were treated by regulating qi and activating blood method, and control group in which 30 cases were treated by Weifuchuan, with the course of 6 months. The clinical efficacy, pathological effect and symptoms and signs were observed. Results ① The overall effective rate was 83.3% in the treatment group and 70.0% in the control group, with a difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P0.05).② The total effective rates of atrophic gastric mucosa, intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia were 80.0%,72.2%,46.7% in treatment group respectively, and were 60.0%,50.0%,38.5% in control group;there were significant differences in atrophic gastric mucosa and intestinal metaplasia between the two groups(P0.05).③ Before and after treatment, there were significant differences in the distension, pain, gastric upset, acid regurgitation, loose stool, weakness, total score in treatment group(P0.05),and there were significant differences in epigastric pain, gastric upset, acid regurgitation, loose stool, weakness, total score in control group(P0.05);after treatment, there were significant differences in distension, poor appetite, nausea and vomiting, bitter taste and dry mouth and total score between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Qi-regulation and blood-activation method is effective to treat CAG.It can improve the clinical symptoms and treat atrophic gastric mucosa, intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia.
