Abstract
The conditions for preparing ceramic slurry with higher solid content were optimized by Zeta potential, sedimentation and viscosity tests. The effects of pH value and the amount of dispersant on the rheological behavior of aqueous Yb∶YAG slurry were analyzed. The slurry was slip-casted to form dense green compact with density of 1.789 g/cm3 and connected pores. The results show that the optimum pH value is 11.83.The addition of dispersant has improved the fluidity of slurry significantly, and the dispersant of 1.0wt% based on the amount of ceramic powder is appropriate when solid content is 55wt%.
