Abstract
In order to get high solid volume fraction and low viscosity slurry, the influences of powder size, dispersant, ball milling time and pH values on the rheological properties of BaTiO3 ceramic slurry were investigated. The results show that slurry with a particle size of 3 μm has a lower granularity than that with 1μm powder size on the same solid volume fraction. The optimum amount of polyacrylamide(PAM) to powder weight is 3‰~5‰;and the slurry has the best rheological property after eight hours of ball-milling process.Based on the study foundation,an easily cast BaTiO3 ceramic slurry with a solid volume fraction of 63% and a viscosity of 690 mPa·s was obtained.
