Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of ginger-partitioned moxibustion in the treatment of different degrees patients with primary dysmenorrhea(PD) of cold-damp stagnation. Methods A total of 209 PD patients were randomly into moxibustion group(n=105),in which were treated with ginger-partitioned moxibustion on Shenque(CV8)and Guanyuan(CV4),including severe 25,moderate 53,mild 27 and control group(n=104),in which were asked to take Yueyueshu Granules(an effective drug for PD),including severe 24,moderate 50,mild 30.The indices of clinical symptoms before and after treatment of the two groups were observed. Results After the treatment, the overall effect had statistic significance in moxibustion group as compared to control group(P0.01) and the therapeutic effect in different degree patients of moxibustin group was superior to control group(P0.01).Conclusion Ginger-partitioned moxibusion is an effective therapy for PD of cold-damp stagnation type.
