Abstract
Objective To observe the short-time effect and safety of whole brain radiotherapy(WBRT) concurrent S-1 chemotherapy in the treatment of multiple brain metastasis. Methods Sixty-four patients with multiple brain metastasis received conventional WBRT which 40 Gy/20F/4W and S-1 40 mg/m2, bid. CT or MRI evaluated at 1,3months after radiation. Results The total effective rate(CR+PR) was 79.66% and 1-year survival rate was 39.06%. The main toxicities were myelosuppressive and gastrointestinal toxicities, and most were grade Ⅰ ~ Ⅱ. Conclusion WBRT concurrent S-1 chemotherapy was safe and efficient in the treatment of multiple brain metastasis.
