Study on Expropriated Farmers' LegitimateRight and Its Protection

According to the relevant policies and existing regulations which have been promulgated by China,the farmers whose lands are expropriated(landless farmers) should be entitled to a series of legal rights including the ownership of the agricultural land,the right to live,the right to know and the right to speak.However,due to the reasons such as the deficiencies in the existing system,the abuse of land expropriation right by local government as well as the farmers' lack of protecting their own rights and so on,the farmers' legal rights and interests of land suffer tremendous losses.Therefore,three aspects including improving the compensation standards for land expropriation,properly arranging the landless farmers and reforming the procedure of land expropriation should be focused on in order to effectively safeguard the legal rights and interests of farmers whose lands are expropriated.
