Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the stability of carotid artherosclerosis plaque and the levels of serum adopinectin and interleukin-8(IL-8) in patients with acute cerebral infraction(ACI).Methods According to the results of carotid artery color dopplar ultrasound test,113 ACI patients were divided into no plaques(NP) group(39 cases),stable plaque(SP) group(34 cases) and unstable plaques(USP) group(34 cases). The serum adiponectin and IL-8 levels were detected by means of enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA) in ACI patients(at ACI onset 48 h and 14 d) and 31 normal controls(NC group). The relationship between the stability of carotid artherosclerosis plaque and the levels of serum adopinectin and IL-8 in ACI patients were analyzed.Results(1) Compared with NC group, the serum adiponectin level in ACI patients after onset 48 h and 14 d were significantly lower, the IL-8 were significantly higher(all P0.05).Compared with onset 48 h in ACI patients, the serum level of adiponectin was significantly increased and IL-8 was significantly decreased at ACI onset 14 d(all P0.05).(2) Compared with NP group and SP group, the serum adopinectin level in USP group was significantly lower and IL-8 was significantly higher(all P0.05).(3) In ACI patients, the stability of carotid plaque was positively correlated with the serum adiponectin level(r=0.348,P0.05);and negatively correlated with the serum IL-8 level(r=-0.798,P0.05).Conclusion The stability of carotid artherosclerosis plaque is decreased in ACI patients with serum adiponectin level decreasing and serum IL-8 level increasing.
