Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between adipocytokine cagetory and the stability of carotid plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods According to the result of carotid ultrasonographic,113 patients with acute cerebral infarction were recruited into three subgroups: Group NCP(no carotid plaques),Group SP(stable plaque),Group VP(vulnerable plaques). The serum levels of adiponectin,resistin,visfatin,IL-6 and IL-8 in all patients(48 hours and 14days after ACI) and 31 healthy persons were measured by means of ELISA,and then to analysis the association of these indexes.Results(1) The serum levels of resistin,visfatin,IL-6 and IL-8 on 48 hours and 14days after ACI were significantly higher than that in the healthy controls, but adiponectin was opposite.(2) The serum levels of resistin,visfatin,IL-6 and IL-8 in Group VP were significantly higher than that in Group SP and Group NCP,but adiponectin was opposite.(3) The serum adopinectin levels in the patients with ACI and unstability of carotid plaque in Patients with ACI were negative correlation, but the serum resistin,visfatin,IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the patients with ACI and unstability of carotid plaque in patients with ACI were positive correlation. Conclusion The serum adiponectin,resistin,visfatin,IL-6 and IL-8 levels are significantly correlation to unstability of carotid plaque in patients with ACI.And these adipocytokine may be biochemical indicator for estimating stability of carotid plaque and prediction ACI.
