Abstract

ObjectiveTo explore the value of non-top quality frozen-thawed embryos which are fertilized in vitro.MethodsThe clinical data of patients who had undergone 653 cycles of frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET) treatment in our hospital from 2004 to 2006,were retrospectively analyzed.The embryos were divided into 3 groups according to their quality: top quality group,combination group and non-top quality group.ResultsThe embryo survival rate and intact blastomere rate were lower in the non-top quality group than in the combination group(P0.05),and further lower than that in the top quality group(P0.05).However,no statistical significances were found between 3 groups in the respects of embryo utility rate and abortion rate(P0.05).The pregnancy rates of top quality group and combination group were higher than that of non-top quality group(P0.05).ConclusionTo freeze non-top quality embryos fertilized in vitro makes important clinical senses in improving the embryo utility rate and cumulative clinical pregnancy rate.
