Abstract
In order to improve the road safety of tidal traffic, with the traffic survey data of Huju Road in Nanjing, the paper analyzes its tidal traffic characteristics. To optimize the design of the tidal sections within the variable lane, the paper analyzes the effect of the road width, vehicle speed and turning radius, and uses tangent function and constraint function to design the length of a automated movable split belt. After the implementation of coordinated control, with the use of microscopic traffic simulation platform vissim, the simulation experiment result shows that the vehicle spacing traffic efficiency and safety can be improved.
