A Comparison of Chemotherapeutic Effect by Indwelling Transfusion Via External Jugular Vein and Peripheral Vein

Objective:To make a comparison of indwelling transfusion effect via external jugular vein and peripheral vein, and seek for a better way of vein puncture to guarantee the effect of chemotherapy and reduce pains of patients.Method:Apply indwelling transfusion via external jugular vein or peripheral vein respectively to 2 groups of malignant tumor patients who had just been through an operation,60 cases in each group.Compare the effect by observing the occurrence rate of infection and effective maintenance of indwelled needles using different ways of transfusion.Result, None infection happens in the 2 groups.In external jugular way the dislocation rate of duct is obviously less than the other one, and the maintenance of indwelled needles is significantly longerp0.01.Conclusion, Transfusion through external jugular vein can be widely applied to malignant patients after operation.
